Verizon Center offers accessible seating in an integrated setting in all levels of the arena. Any individuals with a disability may order tickets by calling the Accessible Seating and Services Office by phone or TTY. Also, Verizon Center has installed a TTY at one of the ticket windows at the main entrance to make ordering tickets easier for everyone.
An Accessibility Coordinator is available during events to answer questions and/or provide assistance whenever needed for our guests who have disabilities. Sensitivity training is offered to staff on an annual basis.
Many services and amenities are offered to accommodate the needs of our guests with disabilities at Verizon Center. One will find a Metro stop with elevator access to the street level adjacent to the arena, a drop-off zone adjacent to the building, ample curb cuts and accessible entrances into the arena. Once inside, each level is accessible via elevators.
Additional aids and services include tactile and Braille signage, accessible restrooms, lowered service counters and condiment stands.
Verizon Center does have its own parking garage located at the corner of 6th and G Streets NW underneath the building. It is $30 for event parking. Accessible parking locations are available on a first come, first served basis for all events. The garage opens 1 1/2 hours before game/show time and closes 1 hour after the conclusion of the game or event. Maximum clearance for the Verizon Center garage is 6'8".
With appropriate notice, Verizon Center provides audio description and sign interpretation. If you would like to request audio description or a sign language interpreter, please notify the Accessible Seating department at least 21 days in advance of the event. An FM assistive listening system will be in operation for all events.
